22 lb (10 kg) Scale: High capacity, accurate scale, great for weighing grains. Large chrome-plated platform holds your choice of container that can be tared out. Marked in 2 oz and 50 gram increments. SCALE22 $24.95 (A) Temporarily unavailable.
18 oz (500 g) Scale: Highly accurate oz/gram scale for weighing hops or small amounts of grain. The large capacity bowl holds up to 10 ozs of pellets or 1 oz of whole hops. Tare capability for larger containers. Marked in 1/2 oz and 10 gram increments. SCALE18 $9.95 (B)
Dial Thermometer: 0-220oF dial thermometer gives accurate, quick readings. 6" stainless steel stem. Easy to read dial is marked in 2oF increments. Can be recalibrated. This is not a low-grade "kitchen" thermometer but a high grade, NSF approved instrument. THDIAL $7.25 (C)
"Small" Digital Thermometer: This is a small hand-held digital thermometer with a flat head (so it doesn't roll). The range is -40 to 300oF with 0.1o resolution. Update time is instantaneous while you hold the update button and every 10 seconds when the button is not depressed. It will shut off automatically after 50 minutes. The stem is 6" long and made of stainless steel and includes a sheath with pocket clip. Battery included. THDIGH $19.95 (L)
Long Stem Dial Thermometer: This analog thermometer has an 18" heavy-duty stainless stem (great for getting to the bottom of the mash tun) and a 2" dial. The range is 30 to 165oF and the dial is marked in 2o increments. The thermometer actually reads higher than the scale indicates, so it's possible to make marks on the face to indicate higher temperature points that you use. THLNGDL $19.95 (M)
Fermometer: Liquid crystal thermometer that permanently attaches to your carboy or plastic bucket to give you a constant indication of the fermentation temperature. Marked in 2oF increments from 36-78oF. THFERM $2.95 (E)
Hydrometer: For accurate specific gravity readings. Three easy to read scales marked in SG from .990-1.170 in .002 increments, Balling from -3 to 39 in 0.5 increments and also potential alcohol. HYDRO $5.95 (F)
Hydrometer Flask: Our flask is the thinnest, making it easier to read and requiring much less beer to fill the flask. Made of plastic with a wide base. HYFLSK $3.95 (G)
Wine Thief: Great for "stealing" samples of beer from a fermenter to take a hydrometer reading. Plastic, 19" long. Lower into the beer, wait for the tube to fill then cap with your thumb and remove a sample. 3 piece design for easy cleaning. WINTHF $7.50 (H)
pH Test Strips: (Note: New, wider range strips.) We have never had acceptable results from single color pH test strips, so we set out to find something better. We found it. These pH test strips are plastic backed and have three color segments. By matching the combination of all three colors to the included chart, very accurate readings can be obtained, with no ambiguity. These have a pH range of 2 to 9 with 0.5 resolution, ideal for mashing. Just dip for a second and read. Much more convenient and just as accurate as a pH meter (and a lot more economical!). Plastic case holds 100 strips and the color chart. pH 2 to 9: PHSTRP $16.95/pk of 100. (I) Temporarily unavailable.
Acid Test Kit: Includes sodium hydroxide, syringe, phenolphthalein & eye dropper (titration method). ACIDTEST $6.50
Homebrew Color Guide: This clever device allows the homebrewer to measure a beer's color in degrees Lovibond units. Pour the beer in a clear plastic Solo cup and hold the beer and gauge up to the light. The color units are read directly from the scale. Laminated to protect it from wetness. CLRGDE: $15.00 (K)
