Kegging Equipment

HopTech is now producing all of its own kegging equipment and that will mean better availability and improved features. The entire line is "modular" and based on 1/4" flare fittings so reconfiguring your system is as easy as can be. Note we stock all this equipment in ball lock fittings, but pin lock fittings are available by special request.

Basic Kegging Kit: Includes everything you need to get started kegging (except a keg and CO2 tank). Comes with our deluxe regulator, connectors, hoses, picnic faucet and complete instructions. KGKITNK $84.95

Deluxe Kegging Kit: This system has everything you need (except a CO2 tank and keg) to start dispensing your beer like a tap room. Substitutes the picnic faucet in our basic kegging kit for a chrome plated beer faucet, which includes a 4 1/4" shank, cleaning brush and faucet wrench. 6 ft length of pre-made 3/16" ID beer line is included. KGKITD $124.95

Commercial Sankey Conversion Kit: Converts either of our two kegging kits to use a commercial Sankey keg. Includes keg tap and two pre-made conversion hoses to convert the hose barbs on the Sankey tap to male flare fittings, allowing you to easily switch back and forth between homebrew and commercial brew. We can provide other types of taps on request. Sankey Style: KGCNVS $49.95
Also available is just the Sankey tap all by itself (pictured). This is a high quality lever-style tap that is the easiest style to use. Includes connectors for 3/16" or 1/4" ID tubing.  KGSANK $39.95

Refrigerator Conversion Kit:  For converting a full size refrigerator to dispense commercial beer.  Includes our chrome-plated beer faucet, 4 1/4" shank, our dual gauge CO2 regulator, our Sankey tap and 6 feet of beer and gas line (these items are described elsewhere on this page).  All connectors are pre-installed.  You just need to drill the hole in the door and screw everything together.  Comes with installation instructions.  You provide a CO2 tank (and the beer).  Compatible with almost all domestic beer kegs.  KGRFCNV $149.95

5 Gallon Keg: Brand new stainless steel tank with full rubber top and bottom. Ball lock style connectors. 25" high (add another 1.5" to clear hoses and connectors), 8.5" diameter. KGNEW5 $99.95 (A)

3 Gallon Keg: Brand new stainless steel tank with single metal or plastic strap handle top and rubber bottom. Ball lock style connectors. 17" high (add another 1.5" to clear hoses and connectors), 8.5" diameter. KGNEW3 $105.00 (B)

Used Kegs: We try and carry used soda kegs in stock, but price and availability are subject to change on a daily basis. Please give us a call or check here often to find out what's in stock.  Right now we have  used  5 gallon soda kegs that are in very good shape (we have no 3 gallon kegs left).  The 5 gallon ball-lock kegs are in great shape with no major dents.  These are the full rubber top and bottom style.  The outside may have labels which you may want to remove.  They have all been pressure checked and are guaranteed to hold pressure.  The gaskets are in good shape but still smell like soda pop.  But we include a new set of gaskets with each of these kegs.  Just $40 each.  KEGUSEDB5 $40.00

Tank Seal Kits: Fits any "pop tank". Includes large O-ring for lid, and O-rings for the connectors and gaskets for the dip and gas tubes. KGSEAL $4.50

Pin Lock Wrench: Special socket (3/8" drive) for removing pin-lock connector shells. KGWRNCH $12.95

CO2 Regulator: This is the best homebrew regulator on the market. Dual gauge - one is the high pressure side and the other shows the pressure you set (low pressure side). Most regulators come with a 0-60 psi low pressure gauge, but ours is 0-30 psi for easier, more precise setting. Includes a built-in safety release valve,  built-in check valve and 1/4" flare fitting output. KGRGC $59.95

Gauge Cage: Heavy duty chrome plated cage for protecting the gauges on almost any single regulator (including ours) from damage due to tipped CO2 tank or other knocks. KGCAGE: $15.95
CO2 Tanks:
We don't sell CO2 tanks because they aren't really economical to ship. Your best bet is to find a local source - you'll need them for refills anyway. We've had the best luck with welding supply shops or places that refill fire extinguishers.

Gas and Liquid Keg Connectors: High quality plastic body "quick disconnect" connectors for either ball or pin lock kegs. All feature 1/4" male flare connectors, not hose barbs, for easy reconfiguring.
Ball, Gas: KGCNBG $5.95
Ball, Liquid: KGCNBL $5.95

Pin, Gas: KGCNPG $6.25

Pin, Liquid: KGCNPL $6.25

Picnic ("Cobra") Faucet:
Small hand-type plastic faucet valve for dispensing beer. Comes with 4 feet of attached 3/16" beer hose, hand grip and flare fitting ready to connect to a keg connector. KGFCTP $12.95

Also available is just the cobra head all by itself.  KGCOBRA $5.00 (J)
Beer Faucet:
Chrome plated beer faucet for mounting on the refrigerator door or wherever. Includes a 4 1/4" shank, black handle, faucet wrench, cleaning brush and an adapter for connecting to 3/16" beer line. KGFCTB $48.95 (R)

phaucet.jpg (7591 bytes) Phil's Phaucet Adapter:  A handy little adapter from Listermann that lets you attach a standard beer faucet to a soda keg.  Now you can take your kegs to a party and have a better, more elegant solution than a picnic faucet.  Hook up your CO2, put the keg in ice and plug on your faucet.    The actual Phaucet Adapter as it comes from Listermann is just the chrome plated brass connector/adapter that goes from a standard 1/4" flare fitting (as is used on our soda tank quick disconnects) to the rear of a standard beer faucet.  We package that with the necessary shank nut and that's all you need if you already have a quick disconnect and a spare beer faucet.  KGPHCT  $15.00.
If you need the whole setup of the Phaucet Adapter, shank nut, chrome plated beer faucet and knob (as pictured), order KGPHCTK $45.00
Works with either ball lock or pin lock kegs by ordering the proper (but not included) liquid quick disconnect (must have a 1/4" flare fitting).  See above to order.

Pocket Keg Charger:  Pocket-size CO2 keg charger. This is a light, easy to use, and portable CO2 charger that fits on a threaded quick disconnect (not included, order separately below). Great for parties, picnics, and anywhere you want a keg, eliminating the need to carry a heavy CO2 tank and regulator. Just insert the standard 12-gram cartridge, and depress the valve to pressurize any 3-5 gallon Cornelius-keg. Takes about 1 cartridge per gallon. Includes 1 cartridge.  KGCHG  $19.95

Chargers for the above:  12 Gram food grade CO2 cartridges to fit the pocket keg charger.  Sold in packages of 3 or 10.  Package of 3:  KGCO23  $4.25
Package of 10:  KGCO210  $10.95

Keg Air Pump:  Complete air pump for Cornelius-style kegs. It is very light and portable so ditch the heavy and fragile CO2 tank and regulator and pick up this 5 oz wonder for parties and outings at home or away! Consists of a hand pump attached to a ball-lock gas in quick disconnect, this little pump will give you the pressure you need to dispense your beer or soda. If the beer isn't finished all at once, you can even remove the pump and purge the keg with CO2 from your own tank, to reduce the risk of oxidation. The pump comes complete with a clip to hold the spigot when not in use. KGAP Keg Air Pump (Ball Lock)  $25.00

Female Flare Swivel Connectors: Stainless steel connectors fit our regulators, tank connectors, manifolds etc. Fits 3/16" or 1/4" ID hose and includes a stainless steel hose clamp and nylon flare washer. KGCNFL $2.25

Male Flare to Hose Barb Adapters:  Stainless 1/4 inch (also fits 3/16 inch) hose barb to 1/4" male flare fitting.  KGMFHB  $5.00

Stainless Steel T Connectors: For simple splitting of gas lines. One version has a female flare swivel connector and two male flare connectors (great for hooking directly to the regulator output to get two gas lines) and the other is all male connectors. Each includes 3 flare washers.
Female/2 Males: KGTMF $7.95
3 Males: KGTM $6.95 (P)

Pre-made Hoses: Thick wall four foot hose in either 3/16" ID clear (beverage) or 1/4" ID (gas) with stainless steel flare fittings on each end. Gas hose is clear but marked with "CO2 Gas" labels at both ends. Both include 2 nylon flare washers.
4' Beverage: KGHSEC $6.95
4' Gas: KGHSER $6.95

Custom lengths available on request.

Counter Pressure Bottle Filler: This is the best counter pressure bottle filler on the market. Made of brass and stainless steel, it features an instrument grade insulated handle three-way ball valve for the gas and liquid. Turn the handle to the left to purge and pressurize, then turn to the right to fill. The "automated" adjustable pressure relief valve keeps a constant pressure in the bottle when filling so you don't need a "third hand".  Unlike some other suppliers, we don't need a whole page of apologies about our filler's performance or ease of use.  It's also a true counter-pressure filler and doesn't require the keg to be elevated above the bottling area.  Hoses attach with flare fittings for easy cleaning and storage. Comes complete with gas and liquid hoses, a liquid connector (specify ball or pin) and flare fittings installed on the gas hose. Requires a "T" for the gas line or an extra port on your distribution manifold.
Ball lock: KGCPFIL $69.95
Pin lock: KGCPFILP $69.95

Close-up of the Counter Pressure Filler's head showing the 3-Way valve on the top and the automated pressure relief valve below it. The hoses have been disconnected so that you can see the flare fittings.

Handy Pressure Gauge: Ball lock gas connector with a top mounted pressure gauge and needle valve. Allows you to keep the whole system under pressure while filtering (or just transferring) eliminating the need to keep bleeding pressure manually to keep the flow going. Also great for monitoring "closed system" secondary ferments in the keg and general pressure testing.  Item may differ in looks from picture.   KGPRGA $34.95 (K)
Keg Hose Cleaner:
This handy device is just the thing for flushing out liquid lines and fittings. The same liquid outlet fitting (ball lock) as on the keg with a female hose connection on the other end. Screw onto a faucet, attach your hose and blast water through the line. KGHSCLN $20.95 (M) Pin lock available on special request ($25.95).
Dip Tube Brush: A 36" long brush made specifically for cleaning the dip tubes in kegs. Flexible wire handle. KGBRSH $5.00

Gas Distribution Manifolds:  These have been discontinued.  To distribute the gas, use our Ts (located up the page a bit).  In our system, a female/male/male flare T will split the gas once, and you can keep screwing these Ts together to get as many connections as you want.

Extra Nylon Flare Washers: Used to insure a leak-tight seal in metal-to-metal flare connections. Pack of 10. KGFLRW $1.00/pk of 10.

The Carbonater: A ball lock gas fitting that fits a standard PET soda bottle top. Fill your bottle from a keg, attach The Carbonater, set the regulator to around 30 psi, shake and re-carbonate the beer. Great for taking some beer to a friend's house, club meeting etc. Also good for making a small amount of root beer, etc.. CARBNTR $12.95 (O)
Carbonating/Aerating Stone:
We are now carrying "The Stone" which is a very nice, sintered stainless steel "air stone" that can be used for either carbonating your beer (in a keg) or for oxygenating your wort (when used with a suitable supply of compressed air or oxygen). The Stone has a built-in connection for 1/4" vinyl tubing, and the entire assembly is made of stainless steel. Note that if using this product to aerate your wort (highly recommended) that it will generate a considerable amount of foam. The foam can be controlled with our Foam Control product (see the Chemicals Section of our catalog for more details). The Stone: Item Number STONE $29.95 each.
