Corona Mill: Made in South America and built like a tank from plated cast iron. A little difficult to adjust, but once adjusted it makes an acceptable crush with a little more flour and husk tearing than the PhilMill. High hopper holds two pounds of grain. Attaches to a table with its integral clamp. CORMILL $49.95 (A)
PhilMill: Made by Listermann Mfg., this mill gives the highest throughput, best crush and is the easiest to adjust of any mill out there (and the only roller mill that can be adjusted while milling). Made of heavy metal, plated with electroless nickel and uses phosphor-bronze bearings for long life. Uses a large single roller against an adjustable plate that wraps around the roll for a long slow crush. It takes a moderate amount of cranking force. Attaches to a table with its integral clamps. You supply a 2 liter pop bottle for a grain hopper, which holds 2 pounds. PHILMILL $99.95 (B)
Phil's Phalse Bottoms: These perforated food grade polypropylene false bottoms can turn any round beverage cooler or 5/6 gallon plastic bucket into a mash/lauter tun. The domed shape allows the bottom to seal while requiring a minimum of foundation water. A 3/8" hose fitting in the center draws the wort from under the dome. Comes in 3 sizes: the 9" diameter fits 5 gallon round beverage coolers, the 10" diameter fits standard 5 and 6 gallon plastic buckets and the 12" diameter fits 10 gallon round beverage coolers. 9": PHLSB9 $18.95 10": PHLSB10 $20.95 12": PHLSB12 $24.95
Cooler Bulkhead Fittings: HopTech's own accessory for the Listermann Phalse Bottoms when used in a round beverage cooler. This fitting replaces the spigot in Rubbermaid (Gott) and Igloo brand 5 and 10 gallon beverage coolers and provides a leak-tight, hassle-free way to install the Phalse Bottom. A short length of tubing (included) connects from the Phalse Bottom to the fitting on the inside of the cooler.. The outside has a right-angle 3/8" hose barb fitting. Made of high temperature polypropylene. BULK $10.95 (Note: This item does not include a way to shut off or regulate the flow. We recommend our 3/8" in-line plastic ball valve - listed below.)
Phil's Spargers: Just the thing to complete your mash/lauter tun setup. A self-powered rotating spray arm that gives an even and gentle spray. Comes with a holding bracket and connection for a 3/8" hose. The spray arm is made from brass and the bracket from CPVC pipe. Comes in 3 sizes: the 7" diameter fits 5 gallon beverage coolers, the 8.5" fits 5 and 6 gallon plastic buckets and the 10" diameter fits 10 gallon coolers. 7": PHLSPR7 $19.95 8.5": PHLSPR8 $20.95 10": PHLSPR10 $22.95
Plastic Bucket Drilled for Phalse Bottom: Our 6 gallon plastic bucket but specially drilled for Phil's Phalse Bottom with a 7/16" hole. Use our 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD tubing to connect to the Phalse Bottom and pass it through the hole. The tubing forms its own gasket. Then use our 3/8" in-line ball valve to stop the flow while mashing. A second bucket and valve is also great for a hot liquor tank to power the sparger. BUCKPHL $11.00 Lid (no hole): LIDPLN $4.50
Complete Mash/Lauter Tun Setup: Uses 2 of our 6 gallon plastic buckets - one as a hot liquor tank and the other as a mash/lauter tun. Comes with two drilled buckets and lids, 8' of vinyl tubing, two 3/8" in-line ball valves, a 10" Phalse Bottom, an 8.5" Sparger and a copy of our book All Grain Brewing Made Simple. You need to supply insulating material for the mash/lauter tun. MASHSYS $65.95
Mini-Lauter Tun: A small scale version of the larger Phalse Bottom and bucket, it consists of a 2 gallon plastic bucket with lid, Phalse Bottom, tubing and a tubing clamp. Can mash/lauter up to 5 lbs of grain - perfect for partial mashes. Sparge manually or use the 7" Phil's Sparger. It can also be used as a hop back if you're using whole hops. MINITUN $22.95
3/8" In-line Ball Valve: For use with the Bulkhead Fitting, Spargers and Phalse Bottoms to regulate or shut off flow. Accepts 3/8" ID tubing on both sides. VALVE38 $2.50
