Camp Chef Cooker
$115.00
We examined all of the "cookers" on the market and the ones made by Camp Chef are the best. Extremely stable and 22.75" high with the included leg extensions (or 11.25" high without), it is the only one we feel confident putting a large brewpot full of wort on. The multi-flame cast iron burner spreads the heat much more evenly and efficiently than the "jet engine" style. With a high output of 60,000 BTUs it really cranks out the heat. (Note: This unit used to be specified by the manufacturer at 140K BTUs. They have recently changed the rating to 60K BTUs, which they say is more realistic. Note they have not changed the unit itself, just the rating. It still puts out the same amount of heat, but exaggeration of BTU number is rampant in the industry and they played along. They have now stopped and are publishing an "honest" specification - a move which we endorse. But keep this in mind when comparing the power of this unit with competitors. Heat output is likely to be the same or more on this unit, despite what others may claim for theirs.) It runs on propane only. Comes with propane regulator and hose. Includes a knob for easy no-tool tank connections and a valve for flame adjustment.
This is what we use in our brewing and we have never have any problems.
